Our objectives
The aim of Talentia’s activities is to ensure that our members feel well at work, are paid fair wages, and can exercise their profession in accordance with their professional ethics. Talentia’s activities are guided by a strategy approved by the Council and prepared by the Board, which both consist of Talentia’s members.
Talentia pursues the following goals:
- better pay for its members,
- working conditions that promote well-being at work,
- a strong labour status within changing social and health care service structures,
- active and competent regional associative activity and advocacy work, and
- growth of the organisation and a strong position in negotiations on the employment conditions of Talentia’s members.

In matters relating to your employment relationship, the quickest way to get help is to turn to your supervisor or the shop steward or safety representative of your own place of employment. The Human Resources Officer of your place of employment will give you their contact information.

Talentia has 20 local member associations around Finland, 11 professional associations operating across Finland, and 1 nationwide student association. Find the one closest to you and get involved!
International activities
Talentia represents as the voice of its members and cooperates internationally through its memberships in The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW), The Trade Union Solidarity Centre of Finland (SASK), and The Confederation of Unions for Professional and Managerial Staff in Finland Akava.
